He worked as a paramedic in Jersey City and Newark, NJ before completing degrees in Biology and Nursing. His critical care experience began while working as a nurse in the Surgical ICU of a major, level 1 trauma center in Manhattan. He also served our country for 5 years as an US Army Reserve officer. He attended graduate school at Columbia University, graduating in 2010 and becoming a board certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. He began his distinguished career at Columbia University Medical Center for the department of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine before eventually returning to Columbia University for anesthesia school.
